SHELTERED HEARTS

Renovation House Project .....a service of Youth Challenge, is a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program based in Perth Amboy, NJ. They have been providing services for over 25 years by countering the corrosive effects of alcohol and substance abuse among men. With limited resources, the program has been sustained for many years by a faithful group of individuals and donations from some non-profit organizations. One of the projects of the group is called "Love Thy Neighbor" which is a cooperative effort of the group to open their doors once a month to feed the homeless and hungry.

In 2008 a group of Keller Williams real estate agents and friends got involved by volunteering. As a result the Renovation House now opens their doors twice a month to feed the homeless and hungry. We're feeding more often and more people each service.

On the last Tuesday of each month We Shop...We Cook...We Deliver &then Serve Food to more than 125 men, women and children. While we know times are hard for everyone any and all help is appreciated . Financial, food and clothing donations and occasionally furniture pieces are sought.

Stock the Shelves for the Hungry was a wonderful success thanks to those of you who participated. Both Keller Williams Realty and the Old Bridge Food Bank can't thank you enough. The Old Bridge Township Food Bank could use some extra hands should you have some time to offer. They are located in the same parking lot as the Old Bridge Police Department, right next to the Road Department Building.
